untethered windows, not constrained by desktop size

all desktop applications can be treated as individual windows floating in a virtual environment, and be arranged to ones liking, whilst not constrained inside a monitors height and width.

ideally, like window tiling apps like Aquasnap, you would be able to constrain, tile or otherwise organize windows as you see fit. Anchor them to a point in space, anchor them to each, anchor them to the surfaces of the 3d space you are in, spread them out evenly across your space.

for me, one obvious use is to be able to have tweetdeck stacked next to a game or film, and perhaps have tweetdeck's window be an arbitrary size if say, i only wanted to see one column, then i could just make tweetdeck's app narrow and tall, and then snap it to my other app, say, VLC playing a movie.

This should be added together with support for motion controllers. The ability to manipulate individual windows in 3D space using your hands would be amazing!

YES THIS!!!!!

This would be huge. There are 360 degrees of real estate available in the virtual environment. Having the ability to take full advantage would convert Virtual Desktop from simply being a novelty to making monitors obsolete.

I want to have all my work apps open and surrounding me so all I have to do is rotate in my chair to access them.

And the ability to set independent parameters for each of these windows. I've got stereoscopic things I'd like to view without losing my desktop to the view mode.

Honestly, thats what I thought this was when I bought it. Didn't realize it was almost the same as the WMR portal's desktop window, would have saved the money
