Transition from Rift to Vive

Hi,
I purchased an Oculus Rift a week or so ago but I have returned it and am waiting for my Vive to arrive. I had also purchased Virtual Desktop (which I think is awesome) on the Oculus Home, but was wondering if it will still work with the Vive even though it's in the Oculus 'ecosystem'.

If not, is there any way to get it to run without it?
